All six of its units have been in commercial operation since September 2025, and a station that size needs a steady flow of maintenance and outage teams. Rusty Estate gives those teams a quiet, secure base in town. We're at 31 Kipling Street, approximately 38 km from Kusile, or about 35 to 40 minutes, with most of the drive on the N4. A mechanical contractor books 3 one-bedroom units and our two-bedroom unit for 30 nights. Standard rates come to R3,086 a night, or R92,580 for the month. With 20% off for 30+ nights, the total is R74,064, with no deposit.

GETTING THERE

Getting to Kusile

Kusile lies in the Victor Khanye municipality, about 15 km north of Kendal Power Station. It was the first station in Eskom's fleet built with flue-gas desulphurisation, and its outage and maintenance contracts keep specialist crews in demand.

From Kipling Street, join the R544 (Oliver Reginald Tambo Drive) and take the N4 west, towards Pretoria. Stay on the N4 for about 24 km, then leave at the R545 interchange. Follow the R545 and the signed access roads for about 10 km to the station. The drive is approximately 38 km and takes about 35 to 40 minutes.
